Sundaes on Sunday
To my great surprise, I think I don’t really care for plain chocolate as a flavor anymore; I need something chunky in the mix to make it a little more interesting.
Upstate Custard
It felt incredibly dreamy to just be able to walk outside without even wearing shoes; after six months of apartment living, I’m hot for lawns.
I’m also hot for frozen custard, and for whatever reason, upstate New York has it in abundance.
Cornucopia
The flavors looked incredible — I wanted to try them all. Unfortunately (and extremely reasonably!) they are not letting people sample flavors right now, so I had to roll the dice with what I got.
No-fly Cone
I prefer a sugar cone with hard ice cream, a cake cone with soft serve, and if it’s cold out and I’m feeling decadent, a fresh waffle cone with the inside coated with hot fudge.
The Cutest Scoop
I could have spent an hour admiring it, but of course if I did that it would melt into a gross sludgy puddle so instead I got to eatin.
Too Much Krisp Not Enough Pop
It’s a really beautiful scoop of ice cream — I love ice cream with a crunch and texture, and Ample Hills definitely delivered in that regard; but unfortunately, the flavors didn’t meld well and as a whole, it was a disappointing scoop.
We want pops!
On a 92 degree day a friend texted, “Let’s be gross outside together!” I happily agreed.
Sweaty Sorbet
I went with the mango passion fruit in a sugar cone; I liked how the vibrant yellow color popped in the darkened shop.
